Dennis was born and raised in the home of the best pizza in the world – North Jersey. After receiving a BFA in Graphic Design, he and his future wife took a U-Haul to San Francisco in the early design days of the World Wide Web. After giving his first daughter her first box of 64 Crayolas (with built-in sharpener), Dennis realized he needed to return to fine art. 

 

As an artist, Dennis paints in oils and watercolor, draws in charcoal and pastel, and prints linocuts. Inspired by the natural beauty of the California coast, and sometimes the juxtaposition of urban elements, Dennis brings his sketchbook or plein air kit wherever he goes. When he’s not carting his art supplies along a coastal trail, Dennis enjoys painting man's best friend on commission – or his dog, Essie.
